You might have heard of Bitgert – it’s a cryptocurrency network with an offer of nearly-zero gas fees among other good-looking features.

Bitgert has had an outstanding year so far, defying the current bear market and remaining in the green.

What is Bitgert?

Bitgert is a project started in July 2021 and specializing in blockchain products. The developers have chosen to remain anonymous until now, however they announced their plans to reveal their identities in the future.

Initially, Bitgert launched on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network. Pancake Swap was the first crypto exchange to list BRISE, Bitgert’s own currency. And since then, it has been listed on over 20 different exchanges.

What does Bitgert offer?

To understand how BRISE achieved its popularity, let’s look at the different utilities it has to offer, starting with…

BRC20 blockchain

In 2022 we saw what was probably Bitgert’s most important development to-date – the launch of its own BRC20 blockchain. BRC20 is one of BRISE’s biggest selling points for two main reasons:

The almost-zero gas fees, $0.0000000000001 per transaction, to be precise
The high transaction speed with a throughput of 100,000 TPS

The first point makes Bitgert one of the cheapest options on the market to make crypto transactions.

And the second point is the reason some hail Bitgert as “Solana killer”, since Solana offers a throughput of 65,000 transactions per second. And this is already miles ahead of most traditional cryptos – just look at Bitcoin with its 4.6 TPS speed!

Wallet and DEX

As an alternative to using PancakeSwap, Bitgert have also released their own wallet application – Brise Wallet. This can be installed on mobile devices and allows users to send, receive, store as well as swap different BRC20 tokens.

Buyback mechanism

As a way to grow demand, increase the coin’s value as well as give BRISE holders more confidence in the project, Bitgert implemented a unique buyback mechanism.

What this means is: 5% of each successful transaction is stored within the contract. When the transaction is complete, this “buyback tax” is then burned. 🔥

And yes, this makes BRISE a deflationary token.

A growing ecosystem

In addition to the basics mentioned above, BRISE has a thriving ecosystem of projects covering different crypto niches.

For example, they backed Midas, the world’s first NFT marketplace for both digital and physical assets among other features.

Sphynx Lab is another notable project running on BRC20. It is a DeFi ecosystem allowing users to swap, farm and stake crypto assets.

And these are just two examples of the exciting avenues that the Bitgert ecosystem currently holds under its wing.

Lacking online presence?

In addition to its solid growth and achievements, there have been some critiques of the way Bitgert handles its online presence. 🧐

For instance, Bitgert have chosen to perform a security audit by themselves, rather than delegating this job to an external organization. This does not mean that the data isn’t truthful, but critics say that an external auditor would have been a better choice for this job.

There have also been some critiques regarding their advertisements on social media and in crypto news outlets, with allegations of using bots or being too aggressive with their posting rate.

And similarly to the project’s leadership, the identities of the system’s developers are not publicly available, which also raised suspicions among some people.

Though such things don’t make a project fraudulent, there is definitely room for improvement in the way the organization operates in the future.

All in all, Bitgert came into the open market by July 2021, with a total value of $0.000000003564, reaching an all-time high of $0.00000404 by the 13th of August 2021. It soon dropped down to $0.0000003399 by the end of the year though.

2022 has been a good year for BRISE too. Though it didn’t manage to reach its ATH, it managed to withstand the pressures of the market and maintain an overall positive trend.

After reaching a new high in March and crashing down again in June, BRISE went up after announcing its listing on the Huobi exchange and is currently trading at around $0.0000005685.

There are now a total of 395 trillion BRISE around, giving the coin a total market cap of $224 million, taking it all the way up to the 222nd spot on CoinMarketCap.

The Future of Bitgert

Of course, given the volatility of the crypto market, there is a lot of room for error when it comes to predictions. However, here are some price predictions that we’ve encountered.

Sources like CryptoPredictions, TechNewsLeader and CryptoBullsClub predict, that by the end of 2022 BRISE will cost between $0.0000006617 and $0.000004.

By the end of 2023, the same sources suggest a price of $0.00000058 – $0.00001167.

Predictions for the decade midpoint, 2025, are between $0.000001095 and $0.000098.

Again, these are just educated guesses, so make sure to do your research before investing into anything.

Conclusion

As you can see, Bitgert is definitely an ambitious, though somewhat enigmatic project. 😄

It is also still young, having been around for a little over a year. But with its current achievements and a promising roadmap, it has all the chances of competing with projects like Solana at some point.
